I chose the word 'caring' to describe Timothy from the novel, The Cay. I chose this word because of what he said to Phillip on the raft. He said, "Put your 'ead back downg, young bahss, an' rest awhile longer. Do not look direct at d'sun. 'Tis too powerful."
I agree with Sam's comment about Timothy being 'accepting.' He shows this when he said"..but I true tink beneath d'skin is all d'same."
I choose the word scared for Santiago because the night he and his sister watched their friends and family get murdured by the soldiers.They had to run to escape to their uncle's house where they along the way,he and his sister were very scared. Timmy Drake 3 period.

The word we chose for Santiago is "couragous" because he is going through a lot and is trying to run away with his little sister. We liked how Timmy chose the word "scared" because he is trying to run away from his home with guerilla soldiers all over Guatemala. We will update you later on this story when we finish the second quarter of "Red Midnight"!

santiago is brave/scared because his family died and he has to sail to the United Sates Of America and he is brave because he is silent when he is in the truck with his sister. I agree with timmy because I think he is scared too.

ReplyDeleteI pick the word brave for santiago because his family died and now he has to take care of his 4 year old sister and he's only 12.And he also has to go to United States by sailing a small boat.And i agree with Timmy because he did watched his family get killed.

why uhm... did you pick the word scared for Santiago yeah he was scared when they burned down his village but that dosen't describe himself the whole way through the story and what i think of him is that he will put his little sister first before himself.

i agree with taylor b. because he is very brave for surviving on the boat so long and he survied when the gurrillas burned his village he has a hard life and Angellina is probably scared to death because slowly shes starting to relize more and more whats happenening so its very sad for a 4 year to have to live like that.

I agree with Taylor B. and Brooke N. Santiago is brave, but i think he is heroic because he has to protect himself and his sister. Even though Angelina is really annoying when she cries, he still cares about her and tries to make the journey to America fun for her. He is just like a hero.
